EndorsementsI just wanted to say what a fantastic idea your protective stove guard is!! Again a brilliant idea and what we think is this should be a requirement for all Early Childhood settings. Many thanks from the teachers, children and parents. We have used our stove guard with great success with our daughter who has fingers and hands in everything in the house and kitchen. The stove guard we purchased from you adds piece of mind for me when using the stove top to cook, and helps avoid our daughters little hands grabbing and pulling hot pots down and into trouble. Thanks, we really love this product and have had a lot of people interested in where we obtained ours from. Thanks again We are so happy with the guard we purchased we have decided to make gifts of them to our family that serves more than one purpose, solves a gift idea for those that have everything and ensures our children are safer in homes of our family whose homes are not always as child friendly as our own. I had seen previous versions that appeared bulky and at the same time a little rickety with all the adjustment provisions and in fact looked old fashioned. Ours looks great and a higher edge at the front provides additional protection. I also can’t believe how simple it was to install, it took me longer to unpack than to fit to the stove. With no sliding joints or different surfaces it is easy to keep clean and thinking about it, it would make sense for older people as well as it makes moving pots round on the stove safer and more secure. Regards As a youngster, I spent 9 months in hospital. I should point out it was many years ago, and I saw many children, damaged for life, by burns, by drinking items like caustic soda, and through what I believe were preventable accidents. As a parent I was VERY safety conscious, and now as a grandparent, I am relentless in making sure my grand daughter’s home is safe. Bubs is not yet crawling, but I wanted to make sure the kids used a guard, as they will be used to it long before bubs makes mischief in the kitchen. The stove guard I have purchased is ideal, built to fit the make of stove, and it sure gives me satisfaction to see baby is safe. I am perplexed why the guard was not in store, but I was very pleased to get the one you sent me. P. Clarke We like the guard. I do like the fact there is an additional barrier between our 2 year old and the stove top, making it less likely she could pull stuff off the stove it also makes it taller which I think makes it less interesting to her. The fact it is designed for easy cleaning and being able to remove for cleaning is great. I can also so it is well made, good quality and sturdy, has not corroded or anything and we have had it a while now, also no sharp bits left on it to catch things on etc; etc; certainly better than the plastic type ones I have seen for sale! So overall a good reminder this is a “no no zone” and barrier to stove top access. Cheers When we purchased our new Fisher and Paykel Saffron ceramic glass top stove, we were fearful of our young children being able to pull pots and pans down on themselves, as the surface is just so flat. The protective stove guard was offered as an additional cost to the purchase price. Initially our thoughts were we watch our children and even prevent them from being in the kitchen when cooking so why bother. In fact my father was seriously burnt as a child after pulling a pot of boiling water off a stove so we were aware of the dangers. Here is the but….. It only takes one second for your attention to go elsewhere and your child takes the horrible step of curiosity and be scarred for life. We would not have been able to live with the thought that we skimped on a few dollars on safety prevention if the unthinkable happened to one of our children. The guard fits perfectly on our stove, cleaning is easy, even without having to remove it. It has even saved me from knocking a pot on to the floor through clumsiness a few times. Frying pans are commonly low in height with longer handles so the guard forces you to turn the handles inward so they do not overhang the stove edge as a temptation. We still keep our children out of the kitchen when cooking but we also know that should that second occur when we get distracted, it will prevent a serious burn without a doubt. I know it took a serious burn to the proprietors young boy for this product to be invented and for their passion to prevent this happening to other children to bring it to market, for this I am eternally grateful, and you should be too!!
