The "Protective Stove Guard" was designed to prevent, pots, pans, etc; falling or being pulled off the top of the freestanding gas or electric stoves, causing serious if not fatal injury. Having had first hand experience with one of our children, who pulled a jug of hot water off the stove at 8 months old.
